    Job Summary:

    As a Principal Operations Research Analyst & Simulation Developer, you will participate in Offensive and Defensive Multi-Domain Operations Projects that upgrade Raytheon deployed architectures and systems for US and International customers in all theaters. This is challenging multi-disciplinary work that knits together capabilities, ‘know-how’, and products from all Raytheon companies. Tasks require developing and benchmarking of models of emerging red side threats, understanding how the US wants to counter these threats, and developing integrated solutions. You will lead teams that develop kill chain performance models, engagement, campaign CONOPS, and multi-fidelity simulations. You will interact with US and International Customers from original requirement through operations.

    Responsibilities to Anticipate:

    • You will work in a team environment on diverse projects providing innovative approaches and solutions to create simulations and models for engagement, mission and campaign studies and analysis
    • You will provide technical and schedule direction for development of analysis and simulation products, prepare detailed plans (including task objective, expected output, budget requirements and schedule for projects), and interact with government counterparts as an authority on simulation products
    • You will collaborate with Mission Experts to develop CONOPS and the Effectiveness Measurement Space.
    • You will collaborate with system and technology experts develop platform, sensor, and weapon models for current and future epochs.
    • You will provide technical expertise for the iteration of simulation products as part of broader studies, demonstrations, proposals, and execution.  

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and a minimum of eight (8) years or more of documented work and/or academic experience in the following areas (an advanced degree can satisfy up to 3 years of work experience):
      • Experience using Data tools for evaluation of theater scale data sets
      • Experience developing simulations of complex physical systems
      • Academic or work experience in modeling, simulation, statistics, or evaluation as related to understanding the behavior and performance of existing or proposed engineering solutions
    • Four (4) years of experience managing others in engineering and working with other engineering disciplines
    • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

    Qualifications We Value:

    • Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree
    • Experience managing others using applied system engineering and interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines
    • Experience using Software Configuration Management tools
    • Course work or experience in some of the following fields: radar, signal & image processing, digital communications, estimation theory, optimal control, system architecture, inertial navigation, guidance theory
    • Experience with radar and/or EO/IR environment models
    • Experience with integration of complex system of systems
    • Experience developing and presenting technical briefings
    • Experience working on a team and independently
    • Experience in applying “Major Gates” cycles (Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, etc.)
    • Coursework or experience in some of the following fields: radar signal processing, digital communications, probability and statistics, linear algebra, and signals & systems
    • Current TS/SCI clearance
