Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RIS) seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in RF/Microwave and Analog circuit design, testing, and troubleshooting. The candidate must be comfortable working and leading a team on commercial off-the-shelf and custom hardware designs to meet hardware requirements.
Responsibilities will require leading a team of engineers to provide Production support of the build and test of proven hardware designs. This opportunity is for a versatile RF/Microwave and Analog Circuit engineer possessing a blend of practical application, and hands-on integration abilities. Able to troubleshoot and lead RF/Microwave and Analog hardware and process issues down to the CCA and component levels. Ability to independently solve problems as well as lead a subsystem team to solve an issue and determine a path forward for production airborne radar hardware. Additional responsibilities will include providing technical, schedule, and cost inputs to management.
Required Skills:
Typically requires 5+ years minimum experience in RF/Microwave and Analog circuit test, integration, and troubleshooting
Provide technical leadership in advanced radar systems on RF/Microwave and Analog circuits
Excellent communication skills and the ability to function effectively as part of a larger team
Able to Lead a Receiver / Exciter Engineering Team
Able to present technical results and path forward to Program Leadership
Experience integrating hardware and software for RF/Microwave and Analog circuit hardware applications for Airborne Radar
RF/Microwave and Analog test and troubleshooting experience
Experience in RF Subsystems and a working understanding of architecture, design, and integration processes
Understanding of system issues associated with RF design such as noise figure, IP3, etc.
Expert proficiency with common RF test equipment such as Network & Spectrum Analyzers, Signal & Pulse Generators, and Oscilloscopes
Travel is required as needed to support manufacturing location
U.S. Citizenship is required as this candidate must be able to obtain a Secret DoD Security Clearance within one year from first day of employment.
Desired Skills:
8+ years minimum experience in RF/Microwave and Analog circuit design, integration, and test.
RF/Microwave and Analog circuit design skills including modeling and simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, CST, etc.
Experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations
Experience in resolving production issues with suppliers and sub-tier suppliers
Experience working in a DoD environment
Experience in parts obsolescence for airborne radar and determining technical path forward
Education:
A Bachelor's degree is required. A STEM degree is typically required. Advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in RF/Microwave and Analog Circuits are preferred.
