    The Avionics Video and Graphics FPGA/ASIC Team is searching for a Principal Project Engineer to join our team. This position will be responsible for leading developments of graphics and video processing FPGAs and ASICs for display applications. We lead the industry with cost-competitive, innovative technology that sets us apart from our competition and helps our customers make the most of their investment. We are responsible for designing products for both commercial and military avionics as well as ground vehicles.

    We are looking for a strong, passionate problem-solver with an action-oriented, collaborative mindset who strives to exceed expectations. The successful candidate will lead and manage projects to ensure technical performance commitments are met within budget and schedule, working closely with peer engineers, program management, and customers. They are the point of contact for engineering responsible for the project management of design and development activities. This person will also lead customer-focused activities including bids, proposals, and technical presentations.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Serve as the engineering project leader for FPGA and ASIC programs to ensure commitments are met
    • Provide project management and technical direction during all program phases including pursuit, bidding, planning, and execution
    • Track and report cost and schedule status
    • Ensure compliance with Program and Product requirements as reflected in design plans
    • Lead a wide range of entry-level to highly experienced engineers

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
    • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience OR
    • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
    • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
    • Experience managing technical projects including schedule and Earned Value management, risk management, customer interaction, and briefing leadership
    • Strong communicator, able to interface within the wide spectrum of individual contributors to program management and customers
    • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively document and present one’s work and status
    • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with DO-254 development and verification process
    • Experience with RTL coding in VHDL
    • Familiarity with image generation and processing
