Job Summary:

Raytheon provides end-to-end space solutions – from ground control systems to on-orbit sensors – to keep our customers informed and ahead of the threat.  Each day, ground stations receive vast amounts of data from satellites in orbit. Using complex algorithms, they process all of the bits and bytes received and turn them into useable information for the end users who consume this data. As the volume of data grows, ground stations need to evolve and adapt.

As a Ground System Software Engineer, you have the opportunity to directly impact the world around you and contribute to classified programs and technologies you are passionate about. Our small agile teams adapt to evolving customer and warfighter needs. 

We are seeking software engineering professionals to work onsite in our Aurora, CO location.

Clearance / Citizenship Requirements:

• Active and transferable https://U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.

• https://U.S. citizenship is required, as only https://U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Required Skills: 

• Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years relevant or equivalent experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations

• Demonstratable experience with the C99 dialect of C

• Strong understanding and measurable experience developing real-time, embedded software using VxWorks, Embedded

• Experienced developing safety critical SW development 

Desired Skills:

• Previous work with satellite ground system software or satellite GPS software desirable but not necessary

• Knowledge of developing object-oriented software

• Experience with unit and automated functional test concepts

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD - 196,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
