Position summary

Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) is seeking a Principal Software Engineer!

Life with Raytheon Intelligence and Space

In this role, you will be joining a program where our software engineers and architects are developing and maintaining next-generation ground station software. Our complex domain requires creative solutions to meet evolving customer needs.

Employee Referral Award Eligibility: Only employees currently within RMD and RI&S have the potential to receive a Referral Award for submitting a referral to RMD and RI&S roles.  ALL eligibility requirements must be met to receive the Referral Awarding.

Relocation assistance available provided final candidate meets eligibility requirements.

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of up to $40K for a person with a TS/SCI clearance that can be verified and hired here at Raytheon Intelligence & Space.

 
Required Skills 

  • Relevant experience in object-oriented software development using Java or C++
  • Experienced with DevOps
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with a current/active U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance and ability to obtain a SAP for the program

Education/Experience Requirements

  • 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors degree (STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics, typically); OR
  • 6 years of relevant experience with a Masters degree (STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics, typically)

Desired Skills

  • Experience with satellite command and control software development
  • Experience programming in Python
  • Experience using tools such as Eclipse, Junit, Jira, and Git.
  • Experience with Agile development
  • Experience with UML design modeling in modeling tools such as Rational Rose, RSA, or Rhapsody

“In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $89,000 to $189,000; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.”
