Principal Software Engineer (Onsite)

Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) is seeking a Principal Software Engineer.

This position is located in Aurora, Colorado and relocation assistance available provided final candidate meets eligibility requirements.

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of up to $15K for a person with a TS/SCI clearance that can be verified and hired here at Raytheon Intelligence & Space

What You'll Get to Do:
 
As a software engineer on the Bellagio Program you will gain experience with the full software lifecycle including design, development, test, delivery, and maintenance. In addition to working with other software disciplines, our developers are exposed to various technologies including multi-tiered architectures, Cloud Services, and micro-services. Our program follows modern Agile/DevOps development practices and utilizing an agile framework - experience in this area is a plus. We provide robust and easy-to-use tools for reporting status and estimates to your agile team leadership - meaning more time for true problem solving.

Our small agile teams adapt to evolving problem sets, and engineers benefit from a flexible work environment where engineers can migrate between teams to contribute to new domains.

 
You'll Bring These Qualifications: 

• Must be a U.S. citizen with a current/active U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance
• 6 years of progressive experience developing software
• Experience with object-oriented programming in C/C++ and Python
• Experience working in a cloud environment
• Experience working in an Agile collaborative environment
• 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree (STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics, typically); OR
• 6 years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree (STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics, typically)

Due to the nature of the work, we can only consider US citizen who have a current/active Secret Clearance. 

It Would Be Great if You Also Had:

• Experience with development on large ground stations
• Experience with micro-services
• Experience with real-time data processing
• Experience with small team leadership
• Knowledge of software development best practices and processes
• Knowledge of MS Office and other presentation tools
• OPIR program experience

“In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $89,000 to $189,000; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.”
