The following position is to join our RTX Corporate and Global Communications team:
As a Principal Specialist, Grant Operations (CSR), you will focus on nonprofit grants and operations, you will play a crucial role in managing our philanthropic activities and fostering meaningful partnerships with nonprofit organizations. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the grant application process, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures, and enhancing operational efficiencies within our CSR initiatives.
What You Will Do
Enterprise-wide Grants Processing: Administer the company's global charitable grant program activities through day-to-day operations, serving as a point of contact for 900+ grant applicants and our internal global network of CSR ambassadors on process navigation.
Vendor Relationship: Support RTX Grant Operations & Compliance Manager in leading Benevity relationship to maintain, and continuously improve, software and programs related to grantmaking, volunteerism, and matching gifts.
Compliance and Audit Assurance: Ensure adherence to internal policies related to grant-making and matching gift activities.
Budget Alignment: Review of vendor payment detailed reports to ensure accuracy of each budget cycle.
Communications Development: Develop employee toolkits and communications guidance on CSR programs related to grantmaking, annual budget process, employee programs, etc.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams (HR, Finance, Legal, Communications, etc.), as needed to resolve issues and ensure systems are working efficiently.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and five years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and three years of relevant experience
Minimum two years of experience in CSR and/or grant operations
Motivated project manager who meets deadlines, maintains steady performance under pressure and can multi-task.
Experienced in navigating fast-paced global environments working cross-functionally across multiple lines of businesses.
Proven ability to work in moments of ambiguity, remaining flexible, and delivering results.
Proficient technical skills, including Microsoft Office
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience working with grants management vendor Benevity.
Strong understanding of nonprofit sector dynamics, grant-making processes, and compliance standards.
Location
Hybybrid from Farmington, CT; if not local to Farmington, CT, then willing to work hybrid from any other main communications hubs, to include: Arlington, VA or the Washington D.C area, McKinney, TX or the Dallas area, Tucson, AZ, El Segundo, CA, or Boston, MA

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
