The Pratt & Whitney team in San Francisco partners with United Airlines to overhaul the Pratt & Whitney F117 turbofan engines that power the C-17 Globemaster III aircraft. The C-17 can carry personnel and all types of cargo to airfields around the world, and it has played a key role in airdrops, medical evacuations, and supply delivery for disaster relief and other humanitarian aid.
To support this important mission, the Pratt & Whitney San Francisco (SFO) operations maintenance center Logistics Specialist will be responsible for tracking parts to include the identification of any part shortages by engine to ensure that the production schedule is met.
This is a role that is required onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the parts tracking process on the shop floor
Utilize SAP to reconcile parts and coordinate part swaps
Assist with coordinating the routing of parts to outside vendors and to internal repair
Assist with reconciliation to ensure that all part requirements identified at the close of Gate 1 are recorded and accurate
Work closely with Buyers and others in the Materials Department daily
Participate in material review meetings
Participate in teams, committees, events and training that improve the SFO organization and support achieving Cell and Site ACE objectives
Ability to work other shifts, or weekend days occasionally as required due to business needs
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 5 years' of relevant experience or high school with at least 10 years' of experience
A minimum of 5+ years of material management, inventory control or warehouse experience
US Citizenship required due to government contracts
2 + years’ experience with Microsoft Office Suite
2 + years’ experience with continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong computer skills
Ability to work with minimum supervision

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
