Collins Aerospace is looking for a Supply Chain Management professional with experience in the aerospace and defense industry. This role could travel up to 20% of the time.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Executes processes, standards, and operational plans in support of procurement goals, including RFQs, negotiations, cost accountability and/or program execution
• Approves and qualifies vendors to fulfill account needs; responds to client issues or problems
• Analyzes and reviews price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices
• Prepares and reviews request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages
• Analyzes and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations
• Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity
• Directs and manages all schedules, and purchase orders for the client account or the product family
• Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost
• May perform delivery assurance responsibilities for critical parts
• Drive work transfers from one supplier to another
• Participate in C.O.R.E./Continuous Improvement events and activities such as Value Stream Mapping or Kaizen Events
• Authorizes purchase orders and approves payments to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
• Experience with Supply Chain processes, supplier interface and purchase order placement.
• Understanding of contract structures, business terms and conditions.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and in an organized manner, with strong customer service focus.
• Experience with MS Office
• MRP/ERP systems experience
• Purchasing experience
• Must be willing and able to travel 10%-20% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with project management
• Previous experience with SAP
• Technical background in production environments
• Aerospace industry experience
• Skills in Lean, Six Sigma or ACE
