Raytheon Technologies is looking for talented Principal System Engineer to join our System Engineering team at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado.
The Intelligence and Space Mission Area Systems Engineering Team is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer. The candidate will be part of a team of Ground Systems Engineers (GSE), Systems Administrators, and Systems Integrators in accomplishment of mission and system support tasks in an operational environment.
This role works as the on-site integrator and will lead systems administrators for the enterprise. This role includes monitoring the system for anomalous conditions, performing front-line resolution steps, and escalation of system issues as needed through the command chain. This role also documents issues in the defect reporting system, assists system operators with defect documentation, and aids the factory team in defect resolution. They will support system users with requests, answering questions about system capabilities, and contributes to the maturation of system usage and maintenance documentation. They will be the primary, on-site focal point, working with the factory team during integration and checkout of system sustainment activities, as well as performance of data transfers, appliance replacement, and performance of Quality Assurance tasks after training/authorization.
The successful candidate must have the ability to operate as a stand-alone liaison between Raytheon and the system user community. This position will require minimal on-call and/or shift work to support 24x7 mission operations during space vehicle launch events.

Required Skills:
8+ years Systems Engineering, Systems Integration, System Administration, or other relevant experience in one or more of the following control segment capabilities:
Planning and Scheduling, Command and Control, Mission Data Processing, Ground Terminals, Data Analysis and Dissemination, Data Archive and Storage
Experience working real-time mission operations and sustainment activities of 4 4+ years of experience working in Linux and/or Windows environments.
Experience working embedded in a customer environment.
Clearance Requirements:
An active and in-scope Secret U.S. security clearance
Desired Skills:
Experience with Planning, Scheduling and Orbit Operations Knowledge of Command-and-Control systems
Experience with systems integration and troubleshooting.
Experience with SOP/ROP development and maintenance.
Education Requirements:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD - 196,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
