    Job Summary:

    The Radars and Sensors Center within Systems Integration and Test seeks talented Principal Systems Engineers to join our team supporting radar integration and verification activities utilizing modeling and simulation tools, using the results in support of integration events, developing verification strategies for advanced radar capabilities and software builds, and executing these strategies within an electronics, STRING, or other simulation test facility/environment.

    We develop test plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, verify system requirements in support of final sell-off to the customer, and integrate hardware and software.

    Responsibilities to Anticipate:

    • Support radar integration activities, perform analysis of radar software regression testing, and perform data analysis of simulations, software, and radar hardware
    • Ensure that the test and evaluation processes are conducted according to established procedures, build and execute simulated scenarios to gauge sensor performance metrics, and execute the strategies within a STRING or other hardware/electronics test facility
    • Support troubleshooting and failure data analyses, including root cause and corrective action processes and advanced use of lab or field test equipment
    • Complete detailed system performance analysis and requirements tracing, including the use of analysis tools, such as MATLAB and DOORS
    • Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team in an engineering environment, prepare and present results in reports and briefings, and support analysis activities with team leads and government personnel responsible to executing analysis tasks
       

    This job is posted as ONSITE. This role can be based out of Woburn, Massachusetts or Pelham, New Hampshire. The role will require frequent travel between Pelham, Woburn, and Andover, Massachusetts. The role will require extended hours and may require the employee to support off-shift hours.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    • Typically requires a Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree (Masters) with minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Relevant experience includes Systems Engineering and/or System Integration, Verification and Validation experience for Department of Defense systems AND
      • Experience performing data analysis using tools such as MATLAB, Python, C/C++, or other programming language
      • Experience in troubleshooting technical issues with software or electronics systems
         
    • Experience executing systems engineering activities (resolving technical questions, creating test plans, automating test scripts, developing processes for handling large data sets, conducting verification and performance analysis, and/or using common test equipment) within a team environment and working closely with other systems engineers to strategize approaches to tasks
    • Experience assisting in the development of integration/verification strategies for advanced radar capabilities and software builds, including building and executing simulated scenarios to gauge sensor performance metrics
    • Technical leadership experience with integration/verification testing of sensor capabilities and performance for the Missile Defense Agency Ballistic Missile Defense System
    • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

    Qualifications We Value:

    • Ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles while supporting test program objectives
    • Experience supporting radar integration testing of sensor capabilities and performance for the Missile Defense Agency Ballistic Missile Defense System
    • Experience specifically including test, integration, or verification and validation of X-Band family of radars (GBRP, AN/TPY-2, XBR), Early Warning Radars or other Missile Defense System (MDS) sensors
    • Experience with requirements test development and traceability, requirements management, derivations, test analysis, test verification, test validation, or documentation of IV&V products within DOORS
    • Leading multidisciplinary teams of systems engineering professionals
    • Experience with using C/C++ code and routines, integrating software with hardware/electronics, generating simulations, establishing configuration control processes, and with using the Command Line Interface for Linux/UNIX
    • Current/Active DoD security clearance or SSBI
