THIS POSITION IS FOR EARLY CAREER WITH 2 - 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
This this is an opportunity for a Program Operations role supporting the RSS Product Line in the RI&S ISRS Development Mission Area.
In this position the Program Operations Specialist will partner with Lead Program Operations Managers to support a catalog of programs. This Lead Program Operations Manager may train and will mentor this newly assigned Program Operations Specialist as needed. The Program Operations team performs many functions to contribute to the overall success of planning and execution meeting the objective of program leadership and various stake holders.
This role will include activities such as: proposal activity, contributing to strategic planning, executing the front end of the business (FEOTB), drafting and adaption of manufacturing plans, cradle to grave awareness of materials availability leading to manufacturing kit readiness and overall hardware availability – both make and buy supporting engineering and program leadership. These strategic and tactical tasks occur throughout the successful execution of each contract. Project closeout activities follow to completion. This position is focused on the RSS Development Programs Organization.
FEOTB includes understanding material requirements and the early coordination and participation in material procurement, partnering with Supply Chain (SC), Mission Assurance (MA), Engineering and staying aware of SC’s supplier management. It includes make/buy/where analysis and decisions, participation in Production then assembly, testing, troubleshooting then as needed, root cause investigations. This position will lead to participation in EVMS, including EACs and determined in cycle reporting such as variance analysis.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have at least 5 years of experience
Must possess attributes such as: strong communication skills, an eye for detail, energy, the ability to work well among the program members, the ability and courage to speak up and inversely to ask questions.
In this position you will be responsible for the collaboration among the various functions including factory operations performers to ensure cost, schedule and technical performance of proposed business aligns with business area objectives.
Maintaining an understanding of schedule and the tasks to achieve aggressive plans is critical.
Must be proficient in and be able to perform material demand analysis, determine product/depot build status.
Must be a US Citizen as the position requires the ability to access US only data systems.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Top Secret Security Clearance
U.S. Citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Education Requirement: Typically requires:
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
