    Process Engineer – Photolithography:  The successful candidate will support fabrication operations by providing technical expertise in photolithography processes. Key aspects of the position are maintaining current processes, optimizing existing processes, and training in safe and efficient operations of the photolithography process cell.  The position requires ownership and responsibility for the control, development and optimization of photolithography processes and equipment. Prior experience on track coaters and steppers, preferably Canon instruments, is a must-have requirement.

    The 3D Integration and Imaging Sensors group is a world leader in Advanced Packaging and Materials Research and Development.  The group develops cutting-edge solutions for RF devices and EO imaging systems by leveraging 3D integration technologies and state of the art materials to solve some of the most challenging customer demands.  The work environment is fast paced, highly technical and focused on developing and implementing leading technologies quickly.  The opportunity to improve, the non-stop ability to learn new things and the reward of succeeding at this level make the Center a compelling place to work.  The selected candidate will work with a diverse team of Technicians and Engineers in a wafer fabrication clean room setting.

    Required Skills:

    • 5-10 years of Photolithography experience preferably in a 200mm manufacturing environment.

    • Able to perform the following tasks

    • Sustain existing photolithography processes

    • Maintain operating instructions for process and equipment 

    • Sustain photolithography processes to meet product specifications & manufacturing process flows 

    • Maintain statistical process controls for process optimization and control 

    • Trouble shoot and resolve photolithography issues supporting manufacturing

    • Improve work center process yields 

    • Investigate new suppliers and technologies for improving production, quality, end cost and throughput.

    • Work with R&D team to find creative solutions and approaches for new designs in advanced packaging

    • Partner with mask design team and device design engineering teams to define and prove in new photo masks

    Desired Skills:

    • Demonstrated a proven track record of solving technical problems, project ownership, meeting deadlines, and multitasking.

    • Thorough sense of ownership, drive, and dedication to continuous improvement.

    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams to improve processes.

    • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including technical writing for summarizing data and findings, writing process and equipment specifications and work instructions.

    • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

    Education:

    Typically requires:

    • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

    Engineering/Other Technical Positions:

    • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

    Requires:

    • Advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management.

    Desired Education:

    • BS or MS degree in Engineering or Physics

    ERIP Award Eligible:

    • Only employees currently with RMD and RIS have the potential to receive a Referral Award for submitting a referral to RMD and RIS roles. All eligibility requirements must be met to receive the Referral Awarding.

    The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
