Raytheon is seeking a Procurement Specialist for a busy environment. The Procurement Specialist will make purchases, maintain proper documentation and database records, interface directly with the customer, negotiate with vendors and produce spending reports. The Procurement Specialist will make credit card purchases and reconcile expenses on a bi-monthly basis. For large orders, the procurement specialist will prepare paperwork and coordinate orders with our corporate team. The Procurement Specialist will interface directly with the customer, vendors, and other departments on the program to satisfy all procurement needs.
Required skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in data entry
- Strong analytical skills and proficient in Microsoft applications and web browsing
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and team player.
- Extremely organized, detail-oriented, focused and flexible
- Customer-focused, can-do attitude
Required Education:
- AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
Typically requires:
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
