Collins Aerospace is growing the Producibility organization and is looking for an Engineer who is ready to drive the Mechanical Power Conversion product lines (gearboxes, air turbine starters, and fuel/oil pumps) in cost reduction projects, support of proposal work, addressing product producibility issues, and evaluation and development of manufacturing technologies. This role may require some international travel. This position reports directly to the MPC Producibility Manager.

Demonstrated knowledge of product cost and business case modeling
Demonstrated cost reduction leadership
Demonstrated team management and leadership in the successful completion of major projects
Experience in design of complex mechanical componentry
Experience in Producibility Engineering or detailed exposure to Design for Manufacturability & Assembly processes and activity
An understanding and interest in the latest trends in manufacturing technology
Experience and/or understanding of procurement/planning processes
Basic understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
