Position Overview:
The B-52 Bomber, powered by the TF33 engine, provides the USAF with an extremely important mission. Over the years, mission readiness for this weapon system has degraded and the USG is working closely with P&W to recover sustainment of the fleet. As a result, the TF33 program has undergone a tremendous resurgence and is experiencing significant programmatic growth. This presents an opportunity to utilize modern manufacturing methods – alongside legacy best practices – to more rapidly develop the TF33 industrial supply chain.
Navigating one of P&W’s most mature propulsion systems through a modern manufacturing environment requires a unique set of skills. To support growth, production program management expertise is required to assess the current industrial landscape and develop new approaches to support sustainment goals. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in a highly dynamic industrial environment and engage with the entire IPMT to develop the most efficient ways to industrialize a large growing population of spare parts. The ideal candidate will develop data-based solutions and provide recommended manufacturing process alternatives based on producibility and technical requirements.
