    Position Role Type:

    Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RIS) has an immediate opening for Facility and

    Installation Team (FIT) Technicians. The qualified candidate will support hardware build-out and cable plant installation activities in an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) environment. Duties will include, but not be limited to:

    Build out of Data Center rack assemblies to engineering documentation

    Support of factory hardware rack, Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) component and cable installation

    Creation and installation of cable Identifying labels

    Support of rack, component, and cable integration at the factory or customer sites

    Support shipment of Racks and systems to customer sites through hardware breakdown and packing as needed for system deliveries

    Perform and document hardware audits for System Configuration Management purposes

    Redline documents/drawings as necessary to document changes post install

    Security Clearance Requirements: An active and in-scope Secret U.S. security clearance
     

    Required Skills:

    Basic understanding of AC/DC Power/Grounding Principles/OHMs Law

    Basic understanding of Cabling types (Cat-5, Coaxial, Multi-conductor, Fiber-Optic)

    Experience in computer and network hardware systems

    General knowledge of common information system (computer and network) hardware interfaces

    Exposure to hardware rack component installation design standards

    Proficient in hardware component installation in racks

    Ability to read and understand engineering documentation and drawings in various formats such as AutoCAD/Visio

    Skilled in cable plant installation and dress-out

    Ability to travel (Up to 50% 1-3 weeks at a time dependent on program needs)

    Able to lift hardware components (up to 50lbs)

    Strong mechanical aptitude

    Strong team player

    6 years of related work experience

    Desired Skills:

    Training/Experience in with industry manufacturing/inspection/audit standards (IPC-WHMAA-620, IPC-A-610 etc.)

    Training/Experience in with industry inspection/audit standards (ISO-9001, AS-9100 etc.)

    Training/Experience in industry standards on Data Center Cabling (DCIM, ANSI/TIA-942-A, ANSI/BICSI 002-20XX) or Certified Data Center Technician Professional (CDCTP®)

    Experience with NASA, NOAA, or Intelligence Community (IC) Agency mission, processes and facilities

    An active and in-scope Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. security clearance
     

    Required Education:

    Typically requires High school, Secondary School, Associate Degree in Electronics / Computer Technology or former Military equivalent with 6+ years of experience is desired.

    The salary range for this role is 46,000 USD - 110,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
