We are looking for a finance program cost controls subject-matter expert who can mentor, support & guide more junior finance team members. The ideal candidate will work independently under limited supervision with the drive to contribute to the successful completion of major projects or processes. They will possess the ability to meet critical deadlines and develop reports to pursue solutions and process improvements. The position is an integral part of the Program Teams by helping to build strategy, creating a management operating system to maximize organizational performance, developing organizational capability, and meeting customer & shareholder commitments. Excellent communication skills required to satisfy financial deliverables and provide key actionable information to stakeholders. This position supports an onsite work arrangement in McKinney, TX.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
EVMS cost/schedule control & analysis and variance analysis.
EAC & policy compliance and proposal support.
Cash management, capital/company funded requests, ROI analysis, and audit/policy compliance.
Partner with senior level Program Managers, Engineers, and CAM’s/IPTLs/OPMs to influence decisions and provide personal involvement in the successful execution of development contracts.
Lead program level Short Range Outlook (SRO) tracking, financial forecasting and reporting, and preparation of Long-Range Planning and Annual Operating Plans. Individual must be comfortable working closely with Program Management, Finance Management, Engineering and other functional organizations.
Guiding and mentoring junior financial analysts.
Support for competitive wins & execution strategy discussions for a complex development program.
Work and support through complex process and systems changes.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience. Preferred degrees in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or related field.
Aerospace/Defense experience with program cost controls.
Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively lead Finance owned meetings.
Security Clearance - Active and transferable https://U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. https://U.S. citizenship is required, as only https://U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Raytheon Finance processes and tools strongly preferred.
Experience training junior financial analysts.
Demonstrated strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Creative problem-solving and report development skills.
Additional Information:
This position is grade P4 (Individual Contributor), Manager, Program Cost Controls.
Relocation assistance is not available.
