Hot Section Engineering (HSE) is looking for dedicated individual to become part of our Project Engineering organization. This position is for an experienced project engineering practitioner as part of an integrated product team (IPT) made up of design, structural and durability engineers. The teams are tasked with sustaining fielded engines through product deficiency investigations and product enhancements. The teams also resolve manufacturing and overhaul issues in support of spares part deliveries and fleet sustainment. The project engineer partners with the IPT leader to plan and execute projects - meeting task requirements including technical, quality, schedule, and cost targets that have been agreed upon with the customer. The project engineer will work within the CIPT to plan, acquire, and manage appropriate budgets for specific IPT tasks. The position requires excellent communication and project leadership skills as well as the ability to operate across a wide range of disciplines to ensure that task requirements are met.
Participate in the planning and execution of projects to the defined cost and schedule requirements.
Partner with IPT Leader, CIPT Leader and deputies to identify and mitigate risk.
Coordinate cross discipline engineering activities.
BS in Engineering.
2+ years of engineering experience or an advanced degree with no experience.
Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
Advanced degree in engineering or business administration.
Knowledge and experience with Project Management toolsets (MS Project, Risk based decision making, proposal generation, task baselining & management).
Demonstrated technical leadership experience managing engineering teams, budgets, and schedules.
Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and trending skills.
Demonstrated effective communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities.
Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles (CORE, QCPC, Process Certification, Six Sigma).
Engineering experience with hot section gas turbine components.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
