Quality Assurance Technician, 3rd Shift (Onsite)

This position is for an assistant Quality Assurance technician who works under immediate supervision. Assists with the development and implementation of program quality plans and procedures. Assists with quality analyses and inspections. Assists with the preparation of Quality Assurance materials.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Works under minimal supervision to assist with the development and implementation of program quality plans and procedures

• Maintains product quality by enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures

• Reviews quality data and determines if products and processes are aligned with internal documentation

• Proactive auditing for quality implementation and compliance (i.e. process walks, OES, work instruction reviews)

• Performs root cause identification of production turn backs/defects using Sherlock or Synergies

• Surveils operator and inspector performance

• Raises notifications of non-conformances, quarantines non-conforming product and when approved to do so, provides disposition

• Mentors operators with a professional, positive attitude

• Collaborates with other members of the product support staff

• Business travel to support other facilities

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder 

• HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Collaboration skills

• Computer knowledge and skills

• Working knowledge of quality system requirements (i.e. QMS, WSM, 580, Dept. Procedures, EMP)

• Experience with MS Word, Excel
