Quality Engineer (On-Site)

als, Engineering Orders, Service Bulletins, Service Letters, and customer specifications to assess business risk and ensure Quality System meets applicable requirements

• Oversees the Quality Clinic activity including escape investigations and customer returns

• Monitors compliance to internal and external quality systems including but not limited to FAA, EASA, CASA, HKCAD, AS, and CASE

• Tracks quality matric (FPY, Delivered Quality, etc.)

• Interfaces with customers for audits, inspections, and performance metrics; reviews customer and regulatory documents and audit findings; incorporates requirements or corrective actions into quality system and procedures Serves as project lead for special quality-related assignments, as necessary

• Interface with shop floor mechanics and support staff, with multiple levels of leadership, as well as with the custom

• Travel up to 15% may be required

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

• Experience with Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and methodologies and lean practices.

• Manufacturing environment experience in Aerospace or Automotive

• Experience interpreting engineering technical data, such as manufacturing, part drawings and/or industry standards to provide guidance to cross-functional teams.

• Experience with statistical process control.

• Strong PC skills with proficiency in the following MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced MRO environment

• Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma experience is strongly preferred

• ASQ CQE certification and/or applied application of SPC, 6 sigma and lean principles are preferred

• Familiarity and experience with the application of APQP-D/PFMEA and control plans is required

• Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical abilities

• Quality standards including AS9110.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
