This Sr Engineer Quality Engineer position is for a Seasoned Quality Engineering professional. Works as an individual contributor to achieve objectives that have a significant impact on area of responsibility. May managed Quality Engineering processes and/or projects. Uses experience and knowledge to influence the development, modification, application, and maintenance, or quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols.

• The work associated with this position will be performed onsite

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to internal and external customers as it relates to Escapes, Quality Management System Procedures, Regulations and Compliance related questions and supplier control.
• Ensure repair station follows all associated quality procedures and policies including quality requirements driven by the FAA/EASA/CAAC and future regulatory agencies
• Perform and lead internal quality audits per the AS9110 standard
• Coordinate and Host Customer Audits
• Assist in activities associated with supplier quality, warranty process, part purges and MRB activities
• Perform and lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) for any quality issues within repair station
• Use the continuous improvement tools to drive the cost of poor quality down
• Participate in Quality kaizen projects to reduce Product, Process and System Inefficiencies and Escapes
• Periodic review and updating of all repair station manuals and procedures
• Analyzes and makes recommendations for corrective actions for nonconformities and/or design problems for internally produced products & processes
• Reviews process control documentation to ensure it follows requirements, objectives, and/or contracts.
• Develops proactive quality initiative strategies and drives their implementation.
• Perform Quality Engineering tasks with the SAP business unit system including equipment record creations, capability list updates and quality notification dispositions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR
• Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience OR
• In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
• Must have prior quality experience
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree from an Accredited Institution

• FAA Part 145 experience

• Repair Shop experience

• Flexibility and willingness to take on additional tasks outside of the core quality role
