    Position Role Type:

    The Quality Technician will perform a dual role activity as required based on the needs of each department:

    Final Inspection:  Inspect to validate compliance to all specifications, purchase order requirements and customer specific requirements. Final visual and dimensional inspection on aircraft components. Ensure parts are repaired according to the prescribed standards and procedures.

    Quality Clinic: Perform administrative activities, supporting the day-to-day requirements ensuring that deadlines for Quality Clinic activities (induction of new patients in the clinic, creating QNs, assisting on MSO and other Quality initiatives). Support the Continuous Improvement programs within the company. Assist Quality with corrective action analysis. 

    External candidates will receive a sign-on bonus of $5,000.

    Onsite:

    • The work associated with this position will be performed onsite

    Primary Responsibilities: 

    • Prepare to inspect by interpreting blueprints, data, and manuals to determine specifications, inspections, and testing procedures.
    • Review paperwork to ensure completion and accuracy of all documents including routers, flow card, etc.
    • Inspect product to verify conformance to specification of the parts by measuring dimensions using instruments such as gages, calipers, comparators micrometers, etc.
    • Train and assist less experienced peers and operators.
    • Actively participate in CORE activities and communicate with operations to problem solve and establish priorities.
    • Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions as set by your leader and position.
    • Over 40 hours per week as scheduled to meet business needs.
    • All other duties as assigned including working extended shifts/overtime as required by the business.
    • Oversee Purge/MSO processes after obtaining QE’s approval

    Physical Demands

    Transport product with or without product carts; lift up to 25 pounds unassisted; sit and or stand at workbench/machines for extended periods of time; bend, stoop, reach, turn as required; use hands for extended periods of time to perform inspection (e.g. grasping, holding, picking, placing, twisting, fine manipulation); visually inspect product for extended periods of time with/without magnification; distinguish colors and meet vision requirements.

    Work Environment Characteristics
     

    Handle finished products that may contain chemicals & adhesives; work with chemicals & adhesives that may emit fumes; and work with material handling equipment, products of various weights, sizes & dimensions.
     

    Qualifications/Experience Needed: 

    • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience OR
    • In the absence of a high school diploma or GED, 6 years of relevant experience.
    • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract."  

    Preferred Qualifications: 

    • Experience working with SAP and creating QNs
    • 2 years of aviation/aerospace experience
    • Experience working with Purge/MSO processes
