Raytheon Missiles & Defense is seeking an experienced Radar Cross Section (RCS) Engineer for managing and providing technical oversight of a new RCS measurement range being built in Tucson, AZ.

Job Summary:

The candidate must have experience in all stages of planning, execution, and collecting/reducing data from RCS measurement ranges. The Signature Management & Technology team functions within the Mechanical Products Directorate and is committed to excellence supporting our customers and allies worldwide.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

•Leading the install, test, and acceptance of the RMTF capital project to successful completion and operation

•Supervision of technical and operations team of 10+ engineers

•Preparing for usage and maintenance of RMTFs equipment/infrastructure/tools to meet the highest standard of performance (repeatability, efficacy in execution)

•Creating standard operating procedures

•Leading the Range Certification Effort

•Working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to review range data

•Mentoring early & mid-career engineers and technicians

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) (Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math, or other Engineering discipline)

Ten (10) years of engineering experience, which must include RCS measurements and range management Or seven (7) with an advance degree

Expertise performing RCS measurements

Understanding of RCS range management processes

Understanding of Cost Account managing, Earned Value, an Integrated Master Schedule and Risk and Opportunity Management

The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Fifteen (15) years of engineering experience, to include RCS measurements and range management

Multiple tests of LO targets on ground plane ranges and compact ranges

Academic or applied experience utilizing RCS testing techniques, terminology, and test equipment

Understanding of electromagnetic fundamentals

Advanced radar system development or test experience

Presentation skills and ability to communicate with peers, executives, and customers

Advanced Degree:  Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math, or other Engineering discipline

Requires expert or mastery level knowledge of work area, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

May have deep knowledge of project management. Advanced knowledge of related disciplines within work area and

ability to identify links and potential impact on projects, programs

or systems.

Typically requires:

A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years

prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree

in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited

by local laws/regulations.
