The Sustainment Depot Operations Lead is responsible for all manufacturing related activities within a depot-manufacturing environment.  The Operations Lead will be tasked to define clear operational schedules, priorities, goals, and collaborate with functional support employees to allow for continuous manufacturing of repairable assets.

This position involves direct leadership of manufacturing activities and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas. 

The ideal candidate will possess the demonstrated skills and experience necessary to perform in manufacturing leadership role. 

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Understanding and use of Earned Value Management (EVM)

• Monitor and control the total assigned budget and assure compliance with budget requirements.

• Must be able to create and maintain working relationships with functional leaders providing employees to the program, relationships with internal and external customers with respect to production planning, problem resolution, and process improvement.

• Schedule, Quality and Cost performance management of responsible work areas

• Interface with support employees including planning, engineering, quality and other Value Stream Leaders across other plants

• Perform a wide variety of sequencing, planning, scheduling, coordinating and reporting tasks in support of the manufacturing workflow.

• Understanding and demonstrated use of Earned Value Management (EVMS).

• Prioritizes project issues and assists in the resolutions process to meet productivity, quality, and organizational goals and contractual delivery requirements.

• Ensure compliance to all pertinent operating procedures, organizational directives and work instructions

• Must fully adhere to the goals of Raytheon and its programs including Raytheon Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing and assures through contacts with outside departments, that proper inventory balances are maintained, quality is within acceptable standards and production goals are met.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Manufacturing, Operations, and/or Production Control environments.

• Must be able to perform strategic planning, develop relationships and achieve buy-in from all relevant parties for strategy and vision for the value stream with strong organizational, planning, and execution skills.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to use data and information to convey a concise message to team members, leadership, and other relevant parties with high competence in managing projects and meeting deadlines.

• Experience with Microsoft applications to include excel and analytical tools such as SAP or like systems.

• Material Resource Planning experience within an Enterprise Resource Planning system or like system (SAP, Expected at Complete, IMDS - Integrated Maintenance Data System or similar type tools)

• Must have an active/in-scope DoD Top Secret US Security Clearance DAY 1.

• Must be a US Citizens as only US Citizens is eligible for security clearance.

• Must be a US Citizenship as the position does require the ability to access US only data systems.

Desired Qualifications:

• Six Sigma Qualified

• Earned Value Certification (Level 2) or equivalent.

• Understanding and demonstrated use of Earned Value Management (EVMS).

Required Education: Typically Requires:

A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with a minimum of 5 experience relevant experience.
