Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Technician-Sr Systems Eng

The selected Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Technician-Sr Systems Eng will provide technical services support in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; responsible for operating, maintaining, monitoring, troubleshooting, and repair of Satellite Terminal systems, including connectivity to local and wide area networks, end-to end telecommunications, circuit switching systems. The SATCOM will analyze capabilities and performance, identifies problems, takes corrective actions to ensure the most efficient operations of the SATCOM equipment and monitor status and performance of Transmission/Receive systems. The individual will quickly respond to circuit outages and coordinates with distant end facilities and local Systems/Users, when necessary, in order to restore communications services while performing other duties and assignments as desired.

Security Clearance:

Minimum on day 1 - An active and in-scope Top Secret U.S. security clearance

Additional after onboarding - ability to maintain additional caveats to Top Secret clearance

Required Skills:

Excellent skills and background in SATCOM principals, operations, maintenance, and repair Skilled in utilizing common SATCOM test equipment

Experience in signal flow and end-to-end configuration diagrams for circuits

Knowledge of Network System Administration

Experience working with Microsoft operating system environments/platforms

Familiarity with CISCO routers

Requires 24x7 shift work (candidate will be assigned to a shift, to be determined by mission requirements)

Desired skills:

Prior military satellite communications technician

Experience hardening maintenance and hardening testing experience

A mix of strategic and tactical satellite communications experience

CCNA certification

Basic Linux or RedHat-based server administration experience

Basic experience with operations, preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting on generators

Typically Required Education: 
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years' prior relevant experience, or equivalent experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
