Job Summary:
 
Raytheon Missiles and Defense is hiring for and Semiconductor Equipment Engineering Technician assigned to the 5th shift with the hours of 5:00 PM -5:00 AM Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with the remaining 4 hours to be determined. Candidate will be assigned to the Metal Deposition, Dielectric, and Photo Work Centers the qualified candidate must have the ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of semiconductor processing equipment within the clean room environment.  Supported tool sets include sputtering systems, metal evaporators, spray lift off tools, dielectric deposition, ion implanter, photo lithography, and resist dispense tracks.  This includes experience with vacuum, exhaust, electrical, electro-mechanical, RF / microwave, and chemical systems typically found in a semiconductor operation. This role requires the ability to work independently following OS instructions and the direction of the work center lead.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Participate in continuous improvement activity, specifically with SPC controls of critical inputs to the manufacturing process and will work to improve up time performance on assigned systems. 
  • Ensure equipment availability by implementing corrective actions for hardware and software related equipment issues.
  • Requires support of emergency response team (ERT). 

 
Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years prior experience maintaining semiconductor manufacturing equipment or in the absence of the degree, 6 years of experience is required

  • Experience performing related hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing semiconductor manufacturing equipment

Qualifications We Value:

  • Familiar with SEMI 10 semiconductor standards

  • Read and understand equipment manuals and schematics

  • Must have a fundamental understanding of SPC controls with the ability to implement SPC control plans on existing equipment and new equipment installations

  • Able to document work and provide detailed pass down’s.

  • Experience with predictive maintenance and SPC controls using FDC software

  • Related experience as a hand-on Equipment Maintenance Technician/ Engineer maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing semiconductor manufacturing equipment

  • Self-starter able to work independently

  • Ability to pull and analyze tool data

  • Proficient use of MS Office products
