Sensors Unlimited, a Collins Aerospace Company, is currently seeking a highly motivated Business Development Senior Manager to join our team working in a hands-on, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate must have a strong military background, preferably serving in the USAF or other service branch while performing JTAC or similar duties, and technical expertise in the field of soldier or vehicle-mounted EO/IR systems. The candidate must have strong communication skills and be comfortable working with end-users, military leadership, industry partners, and US Government program offices. Employee may be located in Princeton NJ, Hybrid, or remote. Extensive travel expected to perform demonstrations and briefings a customer sites and ranges.
Primary Responsibilities:
Candidate must be a capable of preparing and conducting senior/executive level briefings on an individual basis.
The position requires the regular delivery of presentations on SWIR capabilities, SWIR imagers, and system product offerings to potential customers including DoD/military end users and PMs, and Prime contractors.
The ability to explain complex technical concepts at levels appropriate for both scientists and military end users is critical.
This position requires the assessment of new markets and opportunities and preparing and presenting business cases for the pursuit of these areas.
This position requires excellent technical writing and organizational skills to prepare technical proposals, white papers, and RFI responses and will be responsible for much of the technical, cost, and schedule portions of these proposals.
This position will be required to attend industry days and go on field demonstrations to assist in showcasing SWIR technology to various customers. The demonstrations normally occur during off hours.
Military experience required and military business development experience strongly preferred.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
US Citizenship required
Must be able to pass a security investigation and maintain a secret level or higher clearance
The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of Military Operations experience within the Air Force, Naval Special Warfare and/or other component Special Operations experience
Waived with 20+ years of operational JTAC/Military experience.
Senior level management/program management experience within the DoD
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with USSOCOM, Navy Special warfare, US Air force required and Joint Service experience and NATO partner MoDs preferred
Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) and JTAC Instructor experience (15+ years)
Knowledge and hands on experience with DoD utilized Visual Augmentations Systems (VAS) and targeting/engagement systems
Candidate should demonstrate proficiency in briefing and field condition demonstrations
Strong analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills
Strong interpersonal, teamwork, organization and time management skills
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage customer requirements and company demands
Demonstrated success in developing tactical plans and carrying through to successful execution
Working knowledge and experience with sniper weapon systems, associated optics and laser devices
