This remote position leads the Integrated Solutions marketing effort of this $1B+/year organization. The Integrated Solutions organization provides our test and training instrumentation, Autonomy/attritable, ejection seat, simulation and training, and nuclear command, control, and communications businesses. This position creates and maintains our market-wide influence plans to ensure we stay ahead of the competition and are advantageously positioned in the market. The externally-focused aspect of this position requires expertise in go-to market strategies, influence campaigns, and partnering with our Communications organization on branding, marketing communications (MARCOM) to properly convey our messages and objectives. The internally-focused aspect of this position requires expertise in the development of marketing requirements documents (MRDs) for our program and development teams. This position also supports the overall Pursuit and Order Capture (POC) phase of programs, supporting and advising on Contact Plans/Affinity Analysis and Competitive Analysis.
A successful candidate will be familiar with the customer and competitive market in the areas listed above, familiarity with Collins Aerospace processes and network, and ability to drive the Integrated Solutions business development and broader team into new opportunities leveraging technologies and positions across Collins Aerospace. Successful experience with the business development effort of both system-level integrations and product-level pursuits is desired. This position reports to the Senior Director of Business Development for Integrated Solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing and executing within organization’s discretionary budget (Travel, Technical Assistance to Marketing, Marketing Communications funds, consultants, etc.)
Frequent executive engagement on organizations pursuits and orders commitments
Develops and executes marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to ensure the profit growth and expansion of company products and/or services.
Ensures effective control of marketing results and that corrective action takes place to be certain that the achievement of marketing objectives is within designated budgets.
Responsible for company presence at trade association meetings to promote product.
Builds strong and extensive working relationships internally and externally.
Ensures that required resources such as business development, engineering support funding, and the like are available for the organization’s marketing efforts.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience OR
In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required
Demonstrated success in a business development leadership role or an operational or acquisition leadership role is required.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
