    Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RI&S) is looking for an individual to join the Cyber Security Engineering team for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer position supporting the operations and maintenance of custom solutions and Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities in Aurora, Colorado.  This position requires an existing Secret clearance to start. Top Secret/SCI Clearance is preferred.  Position will work on-site at Aurora campus.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Use Static Code Analysis tool (Fortify) to review, adjudicate and provide security-focused feedback to software developers on source code written in both Java and C++

    • Coordinate with software developers for the resolution of Fortify findings

    • Prepare IA charts for software releases showing the results of the Fortify scans

    • Brief leadership on the Fortify findings & security status for of all software releases

    • Maintain and update a log for all Fortify findings for future reference

    • Coordinate with the government accreditors to adjudicate Fortify findings and false positives

    • Applying knowledge of existing government and approved industry IA policies and standards as a contributor to the design of secure architecture and solutions to customer needs and requirements

    Clearance Requirement:  Must be a US Citizen with an active DOD Secret clearance. Top Secret/SCI Clearance is preferred

    Required Skills:

    • Experience as a software developer in any High-level programming language, but prefer specific experience in Java and C++

    • Experience with cyber security engineering projects and programs for U.S. Government clients.

    • Experience/knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST 800-37, Continuous Monitoring IAW NIST 800-137, Patching IAW NIST 800-40, NIST 800-53 and CNSSI 1253

    • Demonstrated experience running and reviewing scans using Fortify tools (i.e., Audit Workbench) in both Windows and Linux

    • Understanding of security design concepts with ability to develop solutions to moderately complex IS compliance and security problems

    • Must be a self-starter capable of multitasking and efficiently managing your time

    • Working knowledge with both Government and Industry secure coding standards (i.e., OWASP, NIST, FIPS 200, etc.)

    • Ability to work in a team environment and work collaboratively across traditional engineering disciplines

    • Strong communications skill with program leadership organizations.

    • Security Certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01 IAT-II (e.g., Security+ CE) 

      • NOTE:  Obtaining Security+ certification or other approved IAT-II or IAT-III certification is required within 6 months of start, if not already certified.

    Desired Skills:

    • Experience with Agile, Scrum, HW and SW life-cycle management, and engineering change proposal processes

    • Experience with Cybersecurity Engineering

    • Experience with Dynamic Software Analysis (i.e., WebInspect)

    • Experience with highly ‘matrixed’ organizations

    • Ability to establish tasks and objectives with Lead Engineers and ensure the entire team understands and can work towards the vision and objectives

    Education Requirements:

    Typically requires a degree and 5+ years of related experience. Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) preferred.

    The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
