    Our advanced cargo handling systems help to quickly move cargo through the main deck and lower deck of an aircraft. Systems include ball transfer units, power drive units, control systems, freighter common turntables, centerline restraints, bumpers, unicaster panels, door sill assemblies and rollout stops. These components work together to convey and secure cargo within an aircraft for fast and easy loading and unloading.

    Our control systems are designed with built-in test equipment capability that enables the operator to perform on-aircraft troubleshooting, which significantly reduces the time required for on-aircraft functional tests. Robust and reliable Power Drive Units (PDUs) reduce aircraft load/unload time allowing the operator more commercial revenue flight time.

    We are hiring for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer within our cargo systems team**.** This position will oversee root cause analysis, reliability improvements, design changes and supports both external and internal customer satisfaction.

    This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate has the flexibility to work from home up to three days a week.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Prepares and reviews documentation including confidential descriptions or specifications of proprietary electrical hardware or software during the design development and change process.
    • Produces and reviews electrical design changes for all post certification electrical engineering activity for commercial and military aerospace products.
    • Executes and facilitates the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of devices, components and circuitry for use in electronic equipment.
    • Researches, develops, designs and tests electrical components, equipment, systems and networks to ensure that business objectives and required specifications are met.
    • Produces and reviews engineering drawings and documents and coordinates changes with Drafting to ensure accuracy.
    • Produces product designs in accordance with specifications, using the most cost effective and efficient means.
    • Analyzes and evaluates new or improved electronic components for use in power generation, transmission and distribution, rotating machinery, illumination, wire communication systems and servomechanisms systems.
    • Applies knowledge of circuit theory, computer design, instrumentation, radio communications, semiconductor devices, solid state devices, and video systems in the design development process.
    • Performs and provides guidance for failure analysis and root cause determination for electrical product failures.

    Qualifications/Experience Needed:

    • Typically requires a degree in Electrical Engineering and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working within TeamCenter Engineering
    • Experience working within Cadence Software
