What does Systems Integration & Test (SI&T) do?

SI&T integrates, verifies, and validates our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.

Job Summary:

The Hardware In the Loop (HWIL) Departments are multi-discipline organizations responsible for designing, building and integrating state of the art testing environments (flight simulators for missiles), as the last step before flight test.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team in an engineering environment
  • Design, develop, and integrate missile flight simulation systems. Typical work includes:
    • Technical drawing development
    • Schematic creation
    • Circuit design and circuit analysis
    • Test interface development, including adapters and cabling
  • Identify and resolve issue and anomalies through debugging, troubleshooting, and related data analysis
  • Travel up to 20% to support development and/or delivery of our test environment equipment
  • Ensuring projects are performed within technical, cost, and schedule requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience 
  • Experience with electrical engineering design and analysis tools such as: Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, Creo Schematic, Xilinx Vivado, or equivalent
  • Experience using schematic capture tools and interpreting schematics and/or performing advanced FPGA firmware development (VHDL or Verilog)
  • Experience using test equipment, such as: Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Network Analyzers, Power Meters, etc
  • Active and transferrable US Government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. https://U.S. citizenship is required as only https://U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. 
    • Please note that many of our programs also require Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in EE or ECE
  • Experience in the design and development of flight simulators for a military weapons system
  • Experience integrating and debugging complex test environments, such as a flight simulator
  • Experience performing analog, digital, and/or RF design
  • Experience designing, testing, and integrating digital, mixed signal, and electrical system interconnect
  • Experience with technical writing and formal presentations
  • Experience with leveraging existing designs in order to interface with new units under test (UUTs) and UUT configurations
  • Experience with providing technical leadership in a multidiscipline team environment
  • Experience with project management, including experience with earned value management
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers from diverse communities and cultures.
