Kidde Technologies Inc. d/b/a Collins Aerospace has an opening for a Senior Engineer, Electrical and Electronics Engineering in Raleigh, NC. Remote work may be permitted from time to time based on business needs.

Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinate and facilitate the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry for use in electronic equipment and devices, ensuing work is completed on time and established quality and budgets are achieved.
Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems and networks to ensure that business objectives and required specifications are met.
Prepare engineering sketches or specifications to construct, relocate, or install equipment, facilities, products, or systems.
Prepare documentation including confidential descriptions or specifications of proprietary hardware or software, information on product development, introduction schedules, product costs, and performance weaknesses to track progress and analyze performance.
Perform engineering work and applied research, development, and design of new products to ensure quality standards and business objectives are met.
Required Qualifications:
At least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least 3 years of experience as an Electrical & Electronics Engineer or related role working in Electronics Hardware Design and prototype development. In the alternative, a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as an Electrical & Electronics Engineer or related role working in Electronics Hardware Design and prototype development would be acceptable.
At least 3 years of experience with FPGA design and application
At least 3 years of experience with Electronics aerospace Automated Test Equipment design and application
At least 3 years of experience with reverse engineering, hardware troubleshooting and testing
At least 3 years of experience with Schematic capture, PCB layout and circuit simulation tools.
