    Position summary

    • Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems and networks to ensure that business objectives and required specifications are met.

    • Prepares engineering sketches or specifications to construct, relocate, or install equipment, facilities, products, or systems.

    • Prepares documentation including confidential descriptions or specifications of proprietary hardware or software, information on product development, introduction schedules, product costs, and performance weaknesses to track progress and analyze performance.

    • Performs engineering work and applied research, development, and design of new products to ensure quality standards and business objectives are met.

    Required Qualifications:

    • At least a master's degree or its equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in an Electrical Engineering position. In the alternative, a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience in an Electrical Engineering position would be acceptable.

    • At least 3 years of experience with electrical engineering design and development lifecycle

    • At least 3 years of experience with DO-160 and DO-254 guidelines

    • At least 3 years of experience with products and systems in the Avionics industry

    The salary range for this position is $96,346.00 to $152,000.00 per year. This is the correct compensation range. Please disregard any additional verbiage noted below pertaining to the salary range.

    The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

    Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

    This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
