Mechanical System, Externals & Nacelles Module Center Engineering (MSEN) has an opening for an Senior Engineer - F135 Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) to be a part of the Engineering support team for Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) activity as the MRO Engineer (MRO-E) onsite engineering liaison representing Pratt & Whitney in front of our US Air Force customer at the US Air Force Depot at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, OK. This team is responsible for all Mechanical Systems and Externals hardware for the F135, F119, F100, TF33 and J52 programs.
What You Will Do:
Be an active member of the Engine Life Management Team, which includes trending updates and technical changes, supporting Lead the Fleet ACIs, and supporting DEEP look activities to help our military customers better maintain their engine fleet.
Review and disposition of Material Review Board hardware.
Support Component Improvement Program tasks.
Work as the onsite representative supporting engine/hardware investigations.
Provide assistance to Customer Support Engineering and base personnel on field support and quality issues.
As the primary interface onsite for the Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPT's), Site Leadership, and Onsite Customers, you will provide mentoring and guidance, and help develop the onsite team.
Travel up to 10%.
What You Will Learn:
Experience with Mechanical components and Externals plumbing systems products.
Procedural knowledge associated with aftermarket sustainment and overhaul of military engines.
Military customer and Senior P&W leadership engagement opportunities (CIPT, System Integrated Product Team, Integrated Program Management Team).

Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5 years of Engineering experience; OR an Advance degree and 3 years of Engineering experience.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
Experience with Engine Hardware support such as: Engineering Change Process, Production and fielded hardware disposition, Limit expansion task and analysis.
Excellent knowledge of all required engineering analytical tools and documentation sources.
Previous hardware experience with Externals or Mechanical Components products.
Ability to operate across a wide range of disciplines and management levels with both internal and external customers.

Department/Segment Overviews: Mechanical Systems, Externals, and Nacelles Engineering is responsible for the design, development and in service support of power transmission systems, bearing compartment and rotor support design and analysis, oil and thermal management systems, engine externals packaging and architecture, as well as nacelles for commercial and military engine models.
Technical disciplines include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Product Definition, System Modeling, Mechanical Design analysis for bearings gears and seals, and fluid-thermal modeling of associated components and systems.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
