Primary Responsibilities:
Design and plan layout for assembly and materials handling.
Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
Plan sequence of operations and specification procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
Provide guidance for engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
Work independently to perform activities related to planning and designing manufacturing process and specification requirements to ensure full utilization of manufacturing equipment.
Design and plan the layout of assembly and materials handling operations.
Analyze machinery and equipment designs to ensure factory and production conditions are met.
Coordinate and implement operations sequencing and specification procedures to optimize efficiency and quality in the fabrication of tools and equipment.
Help to support existing product line design activities and/or operational process modifications to help enhance products and process and ensure that current and future business needs are met.
Required Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as an Engineer or related role working in mechanical design. In the alternative, at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field and at least 3 years of experience as an Engineer or related role working in mechanical design would be acceptable.
At least 3 years of experience in creation of new detailed components and subassemblies
At least 3 years of experience in creation of new design options for new customer requirements and following these designs through purchasing, testing, and operations
At least 3 years of experience researching, planning, designing and developing mechanical products and systems
The salary range for this position is $120,370 to $161,000 per year and this position is eligible for all standard company benefits, including medical insurance. The salary range listed below ($75,000-$161,000) is generated automatically and reflects a salary range for all roles within this salary grade.
The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
