Rockwell Collins Inc. d/b/a Collins Aerospace has an opening for a Senior Engineer, Software Engineering. This position is 100% remote; may work from anywhere in the U.S.

Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct and coordinate moderately complex tests for control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
Conduct multidisciplinary research in assisting equipment designers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software to develop software engineering activities.
Analyze system capabilities and determine end user needs to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements and input data acquisition to ensure current and future needs of the business are met.
Ensure hardware and software standards are met.
Design and implement build procedures that are used to support hardware and software product development and use.
May develop software configuration standards for company-wide use.
May train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards.
Includes control modeling (model based design).
Required Qualifications:
At least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and at least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or a related role. In the alternative, a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer or a related role would be acceptable.
At least 3 years of experience with Embedded systems
At least 3 years of experience with Software Verification
At least 3 years of experience with Embedded avionics software development
At least 3 years of experience with DO-178B/C development process
The salary range for this position is $99,362 to $152,000 per year. The salary range listed below ($75,000-$161,000) is generated automatically and reflects a salary range for all roles within this salary grade.
The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
