Senior Engineering Manager - Integrated Solutions

Job Responsibilities: 

This Senior Engineering Manager will lead a team of systems and software engineers to develop integrated solutions that span the Integrated Mission Solutions Engineering portfolio. This team is responsible for the development and integration of solutions that range from traditional flight deck avionics to emerging unmanned and autonomy platforms.  

The responsibilities of this role include employee development, talent acquisition and retention, resource management, strategic support of the business and driving positive program performance. This leader should be highly motivated, have a passion for meeting commitments and flexibility to support a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team in developing system architecture and design and performing system integration and verification of an integrated solution with multiple software components  
  • Leading a development team while adhering to a rigorous formal development process 
  • Planning and managing project budget, schedule, and scope 
  • Creating collaborative team cultures that drive positive program performance and meet commitments 
  • Communicating effectively to a host of stakeholders across the technical spectrum, including customers, program management and senior management. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR 
    Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience OR 
    In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required 
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws / regulations.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.  Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in ProLine Fusion  
  • Experience in DO-178 development 
  • Experience developing in the Agile framework 
  • Experience in the pursuit, order, capture process including proposal development, strategic positioning, technical approach and bidding.  
  • Supporting business development and program management in creation of business cases and product roadmaps 
  • Experience in Machine Learning 
  • Experience in Model Based System Engineering
