Raytheon Technologies is currently seeking a Senior Java Developer to work in a hybrid position but generally remote.
The successful candidate will perform coding, testing, containerization, and adherence to standard procedures and requires a full understanding of the software development life cycle. The candidate will rely on personal experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish project goals, perform a variety of complicated tasks and leverages a wide degree of creativity and latitude while working under limited supervision to complete assignments and will typically report to the project manager or the technical lead.
Clearance Requirements: The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Required Skills:
- Experience programming in Java, designing, and coding Java software components and unit tests software deliverables using a standard tool such as JUnit to meet both the product specification and the development schedule.
- Experience testing and debugging assigned components.
- Experience with containerization (e.g. Docker) or microservices in a working environment.
- Experience participating in large system and subsystem planning sessions.
- Experience adhering to product build and release schedules and strategies.
- Experience in one or more operating systems, integrated development environments (IDEs), and programming languages.
- Must be well versed with SDLC best practices and procedures.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
