Designs, develops, implements, and oversees the organization's Environment, Health, and Safety (EH&S) programs and procedures to safeguard employees and the environment. Confirms compliance of all facilities with EH&S regulations and RTX requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
Acts as a partner in EH&S by formulating and administering EH&S plans and procedures including EH&S Program Management.
Responsibility for multiple EH&S specialties.
May perform tasks associated with Health / Safety and Environmental / Compliance.
Coordinates with business partners for EH&S concerns regarding facilities and employee practices. May have responsibility for facilities and / or medical at a site.
Organizes and maintains EH&S policies to achieve and maintain compliance with regulations.
Manages relationships across other specialized departments to achieve and maintain compliance with EH&S regulations and RTX requirements.
Owns the execution of long-term strategy (e.g., more than 3 years) and the operational direction, typically for a business of modest size and scope. or, Manages a team of primarily experienced professionals.
Focuses on tactical and operational plans with short- to medium-term focus (e.g., less than 1 year to 1 - 2 years).
Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures.
Implements initiatives that drive continuous improvements and achieve and maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
Conducts in-depth analysis of the portfolio for environmental opportunities to determine environmental compliance.
Collaborates with sites to define controls for EHS program to maintain the policies.
Assesses EHS impacts and develops/implements programs to reduce risk as well as achieve and maintain compliance. Manages environmental permits and reporting criteria.
Establishes and tracks plans to achieve and maintain compliance and to reduce risk.
Leads audits of the implementation of the EHS management system at factories and service locations.
Leads the communication of global EHS initiatives and comprehensive performance to EHS professionals and upper level management.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience OR
In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required
7 years of EH&S experience
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

The salary range for this role is 123,000 USD - 259,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
