    Position summary

    st solutions for the Vision Systems product lines that will be provided to Collins Operations, service centers, design teams, and other customers. As a key member of the leadership team, the leader ensures they have a high-performing team in place to support the development of test engineering solutions at multiple locations across the United States. This is a multi-faceted role requiring versatility across a variety of tasks in a highly collaborative environment. The role requires working closely with engineers and leaders, at various locations around the globe, to ensure project success. Organizationally, the role reports to the Associate Director of Avionics Test Engineering.

    • Building and sustaining a high-performing team by selecting and on-boarding exemplary new talent, and constantly training, coaching, mentoring, managing performance, and developing aspirational career plans

    Qualifications/Experience Needed:

    • Previous people leadership experience is required, ideally including leading remote/virtual teams

    • Mastery in project execution oversight and the application of project management technics and tools such as project schedules, change management, earned value, peer reviews, and risk and opportunity management

    • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

    • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working with Collins Avionics' Vision System product lines including cameras, heads-up and helmet worn displays

    • Experience with software and hardware development for the aerospace industry

    • Background in Optical Engineering

    • Proficiency with C# and LabVIEW software languages

    This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program.     The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
