    Job Summary:

    The Naval Air Missiles (NAM) team has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Risk & Opportunity (R&O) Manager to be assigned to the PAD working closely with the program teams. The Sr. R&O Manager will support multiple challenging programs within the Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) Business Unit. You will work closely with the program leadership teams for the major programs, Chief Engineer, and functional organizations to drive best in class performance on contracts and in proposal submittals.

    Responsibilities to Anticipate:

    • Drive cross functional collaboration/relationship management across Cross Business Teams (CBT) (e.g., Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain), Integrated Product Teams (IPT), Finance and functions.
    • Accountable to drive effective risk management processes and compliance across all functions on multiple programs.
    • Lead across execution focused program/project manager team to ensure consistency and effective application of risk and opportunity processes
    • Supports program start up process with R&O related workshops
    • Lead R&O related lessons learned sessions for the PAD.
    • Ensuring adequate risk and opportunity handling plans are developed and progress tracked for top R&Os in the portfolio.
    • Creating and analyzing program predictability to drive continuous improvement into the R&O process. 
    • Serve as subject matter expert for Risk Management with the customer.
    • Ability to work from the office approximately 50% of the time (Hybrid).

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and minimum 7 years of experience is required
    • Experience in Risk and Opportunity Management
    • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques or similar cost control
    • Experience with quality management or quality control such as root cause analysis (RCA), system problem solving, investigation or similar
    • An active and in-scope Secret US security clearance

    Qualifications We Value:

    • Demonstrated ability to lead by influence and collaboration
    • Experience with program risks and opportunities related to margin analysis on both proposals and estimates to completion  
    • Experience with risk management tools 
    • Experience with various types of contracts (e.g., Cost Plus, Firm Fixed Price)   
    • Experience with both Development and Production efforts 
    • Demonstrated follow up/follow-thru on tasking 
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Certified  
    • Program Management Certification  
    • Advanced Six Sigma Certification (e.g., R6s Expert, Principal Specialist, Six Sigma Black belt or Master Black belt)

    The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 236,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
