Collins Aerospace is seeking to hire a Senior Manager, Supply Chain to join our Cheshire, CT location.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of 5 Supply Chain professionals responsible for Procurement and Delivery Assurance of production material

• Manage Supplier Relationship, Development, and Performance

• Ensure team targets and goals are achieved

• Responsible for team compliance, processes, procedures, and training requirements

• Perform risk analysis, and develop mitigation plans and solutions to problems

• Lead and coordinate negotiations of supplier agreements

• Monitor and facilitate supplier selection and supplier management processes

• Recruit, hire, develop, and retain a skilled team

• Provide coaching, mentoring and guidance on developmental opportunities for team

• Lead and support strategic projects in support of facility and company goals

• Create and present metrics and supporting reports and presentations to internal customers, suppliers, peers, and managers

• Collaborate with Quality to develop plans to promote cost reduction initiatives and performance improvements to drive flawless supplier execution and on time delivery product

• Oversee team responsible for performing procurement of high dollar purchase orders utilizing integrated supply chain models in compliance with all FAR/DFAR regulatory and corporate requirements

• Primary capabilities in procurement such as the following will be needed

• Preparation of solicitations

• Analyze quotations/proposals utilizing price/cost analysis techniques

• Develop negotiation strategies and lead formal negotiations (Price, Delivery, Terms)

• Place Purchase Orders of high dollar levels and procurement complexity

• Performs other duties as required

• Able to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally when circumstances permit

Qualifications/ Experience Needed:

• Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience 

• Must be a U.S. Citizen

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security government issued security clearance is required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated knowledge / compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations

• (FAR/DFARS) or within other heavily regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, medical, space, aviation, power generation or automotive
