    Job Summary:

    The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will support the Electro-Optical Sensors and Precision Assembly specifically for Stinger Guidance Assemblies as process subject matter expert for spinning mass gyro optical seekers. The Engineer will primarily work within the factory troubleshooting hardware and equipment issues to root cause and correct systemic process issues for the highly complex hardware.

    Responsibilities to Anticipate:

    Applying manufacturing engineering skillsets across the extended value stream to resolve constraints and improve process and product designs

    Leverage knowledge and technical skills to influence business decisions and results from new designs to recurring production

    Design, control, and improve the producibility of products through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team

    Lead and coordinate projects, efforts and improvements across the extended value streams

    Act as the manufacturing and producibility authority within the program

    Act as a mentor and trainer to manufacturing engineers

    Identify and resolve constraints across the program

    Participate in corrective action investigation

    Provide technical input and peer review to engineering design changes

    Provide technical guidance and problem solving to factory engineers

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

    Ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF)

    Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

    Qualifications We Value:

    Bachelor degree, preferably in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial

    Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering

    Ability to identify, reduce and eliminate cost, quality and schedule constraints through technical

    engagements

    Understand and utilize factory and program performance data

    Ability to work or lead in groups and cross functional teams

    Experience interpreting and improving technical drawings

    Experience with technical writing

    Experience with MRP systems, including SAP

    Experience with DOD financial reporting systems including EAC and EVMS processes

    Experience teaching, training and/or mentoring manufacturing systems to junior engineers

    Experience communicating technical information to different audiences

    Current DOD Security Clearance
