    Raytheon Technologies Intelligence & Space (RIS) Field Engineering team is looking for a Senior Network Engineer with technical experience to join our team. Our Air and Missile Defense Radar (AMDR) program is a team of diverse professionals who are developing and fielding the most advanced shipboard radar.

    Position Location – Moorestown, NJ

    • Rotating temporary domestic off-site assignments are anticipated.
    • May require travel for multiple months and extended hours (6X10) and may vary according to program needs.
    • Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work beyond standard working hours.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for all onsite activities up to and including hardware and software integration, test, verification, troubleshooting, repair, and operations of an advanced radar system. 
    • Support HW installations and activations as needed.
    • Perform SW installation (Builds/Overlays).
    • Review, generate and maintain reports, logs, and various documentation.
    • Operate and maintain site specific instruments for system operations including test equipment.
    • Perform technical documentation and complete system development life cycle from requirements gathering to design, testing, implementation, and configuration management.
    • Support all other site activities as instructed by the Site and Integration Lead.
       

    Experience and Skills:

    • Experience in System Administration of Linux / Unix Operating System.
    • UNIX coding / debugging; experience in ATM LANs, long haul links, RF links, VOIP, and data communications.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of networking servers, hubs, switches, and routers.
    • Demonstrated experience working with Redhat X86 servers, and IT Networking; experience with MATLAB is preferred.
    • Knowledge of TCP / IP networks to include IP addressing, subnetting, DNS, and DHCP.
    • Good working knowledge of drawings, schematics, diagrams, procedures, technical documentation.
    • Ability to work in collaborative environment on complex technical problems, analyzing, evaluating, and recommending best practice methods and processes.
    • Ability to work autonomously (self-starter) and as part of a diverse site team.
    • Excellent oral communication skills, including ability to explain complex IT concepts and practices in non-technical terms.
    • Customer service experience delivering technical solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    • Experience working as part of a team collaborating on problem resolution.

    Technical Experience may include some of the following:

    • Design Software: AutoCAD, MATLAB, SysML (Papyrus), Multisim and Inventor.

    • Operating Systems: Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Redhawk Linux.

    • Programming: C++, VBA, Java, bash scripting.

    • IBM Rational Software: DOORS, ClearQuest and ClearCase.

    • Hardware: Direct current triple power supply, function generator, digital multi-meter, and oscilloscope.

    • Cleanroom equipment: FE-SEM, i-line stepper, Profilometer, Electron-beam Evaporator and Wet Bench.

    • Networking Vendor products: Cisco IOS & Nexus switches, routers, and ASA; Mellanox, HP, Dell, and Arista.

    • Networking Protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, HSRP, STP, VPN and QoS.

    • Scaled Agile Development Process tools: JIRA, Confluence.

    • System Engineering Life Cycle Process: DoD V-Chart and Digital Transformation Concepts.

    Desired Experience and Skills:

    • Experience with Radar System operations, maintenance, and performance analysis.
    • Operation and maintain the SPY-6(V)1 radar system.
    • Conduct system level testing of the SPY-6(V)1 with BL10 Aegis Weapon System.
    • Maintain configuration of SPY-6 (V)1 System.
    • Prior Shipyard and/or shipboard experience with ability to interface with customers (Navy), contractors and other government personnel.

    Desired Certifications:  Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching, CompTIA Security+ & CompTIA Linux+

    U.S. Citizenship required, as the applicant must have an Active U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance, day one of employment.

    Education:

    Typically requires a University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems is preferred, and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
