    Position summary

    to come up to speed quickly, help to shape the future of the pipeline being deployed and introduce features and optimizations that help realize our goals of improved cycles times, reduced engineering effort and high quality.

    This is an onsite position based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Relocation assistance may be available.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Will serve as the technical focal for transition technology from advanced technologies to ACDE.

    • Put together architectural solutions for technology integration and maturity.

    • Define technical qualitative measures of adoption success.

    • Develop detailed understanding of the Cert DevOps pipeline, how it is deployed and how to work with deployed tools.

    • Develop optimal technical adoption plans.

    • Ensure migration activities meet qualitative improvement expectations, help teams adjust.

    • Work with existing SandBox Pilots to understand and overcome technical hurdles.

    • Enable new SandBox pilot activities to accelerate discovery (ex: Full host deployment in existing sandbox environment).

    • Mentoring teams as they start migrating.

    • Develop best practices for Cert DevOps migration and how to maximize benefits of deployment.

    Qualifications you MUST have:

    • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.

    • Self-starter able to multitask and manage unplanned events.

    • Well organized and able to communicate effectively with engineering peers, leadership and customers.

    • Excellent problem solving, decision making, and teamwork.

    • Experience with the programming language: C

    • Experience and/or knowledge of scripting languages: Python, Robot, Lava

    • Practical experience in all aspects/phases of the software engineering product lifecycle to include leading software proposals and architecture designs.

    • Practical experience in avionics software architecture and it's certification.

    • Experience with DevSecOps.

    • Experience with: GitLab, Git, CMake, MinGW, LynxOS, Coverity, Artifactory, Docker, Vista.

    • Experience with simulation environments: Vista, CoreSim.

    • Experience with Agile development life cycle and best practices.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with the following programming languages: C++ and Ada

    • Experience with Collins Aerospace's Fusion system.

    The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
