Job Summary:
The AST Surveillance Systems Division is currently seeking a Senior Principal Software Systems Engineer with deep experience in software system development of airborne radiofrequency signals intelligence (RF SIGINT) sensor products and electronic intelligence/electronic warfare (ELINT/EW) techniques. In this position, the Software Systems Engineer will use their software systems engineering expertise and technical leadership skills to lead software development efforts in the product development and deployment of next generation electronic intelligence/communications intelligence (ELINT/COMINT) sensor solutions, to support integration/validation and operations of deployed systems, and to support SIGINT-related I&RD projects, business pursuits and marketing activities.
Required Security Clearance:
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
Existing active DoD Secret Clearance or Active within the last 24 months.
Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance.
Required Experience & Skills
Software systems engineering experience and technical leadership in the full software product development life cycle (design, implementation, testing, verification, deployment) with organizations developing complex SIGINT and/or EW systems.
Software development experience in C/C++ development environments across various operating system platforms (Linux, Windows, VxWorks, and/or other embedded CPU targets).
Experience developing Airborne ELINT/COMINT systems and/or related airborne radar systems.
Experience with radar emitter signal identification and sorting (i.e., Deinterleaving) and ELINT databases (e.g., EPL, CED, EWIR, MIDB, etc.).
Demonstrated experience as a software technical lead on a SIGINT development program.
Experience with field support (integration, validation, operations) of deployed systems.
Experience interacting with senior management in business and engineering and working directly with customer personnel.
Ability to travel up to 25% (typically for business and customer meetings, operational field support, and customer demonstrations).
Desired Experience, Skills, Capabilities
Current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) – eligible for an immediate TS/SCI Clearance is highly desired.
Operational experience with Tasking, Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination of ELINT data from an airborne ISR platform is highly desired.
Experience in proposal preparation, cost and schedule estimation and technical documentation related to contract deliverable items.
Experience with Agile, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, or DevOps methodologies.
Education and Experience:
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 236,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
