Job Summary:

The AST Surveillance Systems Division is currently seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer with deep experience in system development of airborne RF SIGINT sensor products and EW techniques for the U.S. Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.  In this position, you will leverage your airborne SIGINT systems engineering expertise and technical leadership skills to lead the product development and deployment of our advanced ELINT/COMINT sensor solutions as the Program Chief Engineer.  Additionally, you will support and participate in real-time SIGINT-related I&RD projects, business pursuits and marketing activities.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Minimum of 10 years or more (or 7 years or more with an Advanced STEM degree) of demonstrated team leadership skills and solid understanding of SIGINT and/or EW missions, capabilities, technologies/implementations; and, experience in all phases of the full product development life cycle (CONOPS, requirements, design, implementation, testing, verification, deployment) with organizations developing complex SIGINT and/or EW systems.
• Demonstrated experience as a lead engineer on a SIGINT development program with responsibility and accountability for all aspects of program technical execution.
• Experience interacting with company leadership (business and engineering), working directly with customer personnel, preparing, and performing customer demonstrations and briefings.
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) with the ability to effectively communicate with subordinates, peers, and leadership.
• Ability to travel up to 25% (typically for business and customer meetings and demonstrations).

Qualifications We Value

• Current TS/SCI with Full-Scope Poly or current SSBI.
• Experience in proposal preparation, cost and schedule estimation, risk and opportunity assessments and mitigations, and technical documentation related to contract deliverable items.
• Experience with management of a program Technical Baseline, engineering review boards, and/or change control boards.
• Experience with ELINT PED operations, radar emitter signal identification and sorting, and ELINT signal databases.
• Practical experience with antennas, RF propagation and receivers, RF system calibration operations, and use/management of RF test range needs.

Required Security Clearance

• U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
• Existing active DoD Secret Clearance (or Active within the last 24 months).
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance.

Required Education

• University Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience, or a STEM Advanced University Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior relevant experience.

Desired Education

• Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
