Raytheon Intelligence and Space is seeking a System-of-Systems and Operations Integration Engineering authority in support of a mutli-satellite on-orbit delivery with associated ground element.
The candidate select will provide a total system and mission perspective, while sweating the details to ensure the system achieves its goals. Also generate CONOPS and architecture artifacts, mature interfaces into released engineering documents, define validation plans, and lead implementation of validation events. You assess interface and integration risk, then generate and implement pragmatic risk reduction. While providing floor support to validation and operations activities is anticipated.
General Job Description:
The System-of-Systems and Operations Integration Engineer will be responsible for performing a full range of systems engineering activities, which may be applied at different levels of assembly and vary as programs progress throughout their lifecycles.
Duties may include:
Interface, and Architecture engineering
Analyses and trade studies to include supporting modeling/simulation and cost/schedule/technical assessments
System design and technical baseline maturation including support to program reviews and milestones
System integration and test (SIT) planning and support to SIT activities; delivery, verification and validation engineering and support to verification and validation activities
Implementation of engineering processes such as risk and opportunity management and product certification; special projects as assigned
Travel within the US as needed
Location (one of the following): Aurora, CO (preferred); Richardson, TX; State College, PA; Sterling, VA

Security Clearance Requirements:
An active and in-scope DoD Secret U.S. security clearance with ability to obtain a DoD TS U.S. security clearance
Required Skills:
• Managing complex interfaces and generating multi-party Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and Interface Requirements Documents (IRDs)
• System thread and requirement engineering (eg system timelines, scenario-response analysis)
• Space-to-ground communications and mission data link integration (down to protocols and framing/packaging)
• Space system sustainment and operations. Ideally for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) / Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) systems or transfer orbit Geosynchronous Equatorial activities
• Ground testbed infrastructure and utilization
Desired Skills:
• Project planning and major event coordination, with supporting team leadership and interpersonal skills
• Planning and executing on-orbit demonstrations, ideally as part of formal OOT commissioning activities.
• Critical thinking and analysis resource proficiency (for example: System Took Kit (STK), Matlab, Excel, etc)
• Space-to-Space in-orbit networking and data links
• Systems Modeling Language (SysML) SysML methods; CAMEO, DOORS, or equivalent resource familiarity.
• Cyber security RMF process familiarity.
•Exposure to DevOps resources and processes
Experience and Education Requirements:
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum 10 years' prior relevant experience, or equivalent experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 236,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
