    What You Will Do:

    • Develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges involving multiple subsystem and system interactions (system of systems) as a Technical Lead.

    • Work with program leadership to manage a multi-disciplined engineering team to define, develop, and prototype software capabilities and interfaces to create or evolve current software and system architectures in support of customer defined requirements.

    • Actively partake in definition of team objectives and provide solutions to complex technical tasks including satellite command and control, precision navigation and timing, mission planning systems, enterprise data management, system integration with dev pipeline and field demonstration, processing real-world data, trade studies in system and algorithm design, and initial requirements allocation and verification.

    • Understand the customer's architecture needs and desired capabilities and participate in requirements decomposition to ensure appropriate allocation to technical architecture elements.

    • Provide systems/software engineering expertise for bids on future development activities.

    Qualification You Must Have:

    • Typically requires bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and ten (10) years of prior relevant experience.

    • Experience leading a team of systems engineers

    • Experience interfacing with customers, government agencies and/or enterprise data management

    • Experience with system/software architecture design principles and constructs in one or more of the following areas: developing requirements and interface definitions, developing architecture, implementing, integrating, or testing.

    • Experience with satellite ground systems

    • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    Qualifications We Prefer:

    • Interfaces external to the ground system with government agencies, enterprise data management.

    • Experience leading and coaching technical teams of junior to mid-level systems engineers and analysts, interfacing with customers, and the ability to balance development priorities with near/long term program objectives.

    • Experience analyzing engineering problems and identifying root causes to design solutions and resolve challenging technical problems in a multiple stakeholder environment.

    • Experience in planning, managing, and leading execution of integration, verification, and validation activities for of prototyped software/ products in both lab and field environments.

    • Experience in program backlog grooming, user story elaboration, and developing Feature definition of done

    • Active Common Access Card (CAC)

    Clearance Information: This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.     The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
